The Lights Band are an equal collaboration of four truly great musicians. We helped these fellas brand themselves and screen printed some goodies for them, as well as designing their debut album "Simple Places," released in the winter of 2005.

Recorded live

To release his first record, Jazz musician Marlin McKay, formed his own record label. We were asked to help create an identity for the label and to promote a launch and cd debut party. Demo tracks in one hand and mocha in the other, we sat at the local coffee joint with the changer on repeat. Twenty-two bathroom breaks later, this is the final result.

Design-a-doodle-doo!

The nowHERE project was a massive group effort led by Ryan and Lucas when president and treasurer of AIGA-UWSP. It was continued in 2006, led by Ryan and other members of the AIGA board.

The brand was further refined in 2006, creating an emphasis on farm animals (and continuing Cleopatra the Cow's legacy with Rodney the Rooster (and friends).

The 2006 conference featured designers Nando Costa (Brazil), Linn Olofsdotter (Sweden), and Kate Gibb (London).

In the Middle of nowHERE

The nowHERE project was a massive group effort led by Ryan and Lucas when president and treasurer of AIGA-UWSP. The inaugural year was 2005.

The brand represents the agricultural region of Central Wisconsin, making light of the location while simultaneously drawing inspiration from the unique visual landscape of the farm. Marketed by designers, for designers, this brand remained simple while extensible for future conferences.

The first annual nowHERE featured artists Lizzie Finn (London) and Julie Hirschfeld + Stefanie Barth (NYC).
